Administration & Holiday
The Sudbury Extended Day administrative offices are located at 365 Boston Post Road, Suite 209, Sudbury, MA 01776. The office is typically staffed every day from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm or by appointment during the program year. In addition, there is a locked drop box outside the First Parish Church’s front entrance for parents to deposit tuition and paperwork when the office is closed.
SED’s administration consists of Marianne (Mari) Weldon, Executive Director, Rhona Jarmulowicz, Program Director, and Christina Deignan, Business Manger. While we can all help with any question you may have, here is a guide as to who to reach out to initially:
Mari: Questions about the organization as a whole, specific concerns that haven’t been adequately addressed by your child’s Site Coordinator, and questions for the Board of Directors.
Rhona: Programmatic and licensing regulation questions, Holiday and Vacation Programming questions.
Christina: Billing and scheduling questions, State voucher program questions, Dependent Care program receipts, vendor questions
We can be easily reached at 978-443-5829.
Holiday and Vacation Programs
SED offers programs on most days when the Sudbury Public Schools are closed. Please consult the SED calendar and the SPS calendar for information on which days schools are closed. When possible, SED offers programs on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Indigenous People’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Teacher Professional Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, and Good Friday.
In addition to school holidays, SED also offers programs during the February and April School Vacation Weeks. The programs are offered at the First Parish Church and/or Peter Noyes Elementary School and are open to all currently registered students in grades K-8. On these days, we open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m.
Special registration forms are made available approximately one month preceding the holiday, both on the website (under Forms and Policies) and in hard copy at all sites.
Fees for the Holiday and Vacation Programs range from $65 to $80/day, depending on the activity planned for the day. The fee includes breakfast, snacks, field trips or visiting entertainment, and bus transportation if required. SED secures staff for the day based on the number of children registered for the program.
These programs are not included in the regular monthly tuition; parents will be billed separately for the child(ren)’s participation in the program. If a child is signed up for the program but will not attend, parents must notify SED by the last business day prior to the program (for a Tuesday program after a Monday holiday such as President’s Day, this deadline is the Friday before). Failure to notify SED will result in families being charged for the day.
